- Purchase the required parts listed on this page.
- Open the hood, and locate the airbox. If you can't distinguish
between the airbox and the other components of your engine bay, please
seek assistance or stop now.
- Disconnect the corrugated tube from the air intake using a slot
screwdriver. Remove the lid of the airbox by removing the (2)
Slot/Phillips screws on the Driver's side of the airbox.
Look to the rear of the airbox and notice the bolt and nut. Remove
this 10mm nut. There is an identical 10mm nut/bolt at the front of
the airbox near the battery that must also be removed.
You may need to remove the battery, which is held in by a single 13mm
bolt.
Remove the lower portion of the airbox, being careful to disconnect the plastic
elbow that goes down into the fenderwell. At this point you may also wish
to remove the Intake Resonator (see instructions).
Remove the black plastic close-out panel that goes across between the
headlights. It is easily removed by prying the center of the plastic
fasteners up with a slot screwdriver.

Next, install the new airbox. This airbox installs identically to the
original airbox, and looks nearly identical, except that it has a second inlet
port on the passenger side front of the box - this is where the Ram Air stack
connects. Be sure to securely reconnect the corrugated intake tube to the
airbox lid, and screw the airbox lid on snugly.
Install the new baffle directly behind the hood latch. This baffle directs
air up into the Ram Air scoop. Before fastening the baffle in place,
install the Ram Air intake duct over top of where the baffle sits on the front
beam, and fasten it and the baffle down with 3 plastic friction bolts.
Finally, install the new "Ram Air" embossed shroud over
top of your new intake scoop. Reinstall the 9 fasteners, and
enjoy!
