Ensure the vehicle is warm and on level ground.
Leave the vehicle parked for 5-15 minutes, to allow all the oil to drain
back down into the oil pan.
Open the hood and locate the Engine Oil Fill
Cap/Dipstick. On the 2.2L, it's located right in front of the
engine, in the centre of the engine bay.
Unscrew the oil fill cap, and remove the
cap/dipstick. Wipe the dipstick clean with a paper towel or cloth,
and re-insert it, fully tightening the fill cap.
Remove the fill cap/dipstick once again, and check the
oil level. Ensure that the level is within the cross-hatch between
the "Add" and "Full" marks.
Add 5W-30 oil or equivalent if necessary.
Reinstall the fill cap/dipstick.
