Removing The Front Seats - 3rd Gen J-Body

Easy
  1. Move both seats to the furthest most rear position.  Remove seat belts from headrest loop, if applicable.
  2. Remove the rubber caps on top of the seat post bolts.
  3. Remove the front nuts using the 13mm socket and ratchet.
  4. Move seats to furthest most position.  Remove rubber caps from seat bolts.
  5. Remove the 2 bolts.  You may need to use the 13mm wrench, as a ratchet will not fit.
  6. [Driver's seat only] Before removing the seat, disconnect the seatbelt sensor.  Simply use a small screwdriver to pry up clip, and slide wire out.
  7. Lift seat out, careful not to scratch paint.
  8. Reinstall in reverse order, remembering to use caution when setting seats in.

  • 3/8" Drive Ratchet
  • 13mm Deep Socket
  • 13mm Wrench
  • Slot Screwdriver
