-
Ensure the car is clean and
dry, as you need to wax where the badges were to protect
your paint.
-
Take the heat gun or hair drier and go
over the badge (make sure you don't leave the heat in one spot because this could damage
your paint).
-
When the badge feels like you can move it
some take the fishing line, put it behind the badge, and pull it to the other
side in a sawing motion. If this doesn't work, apply more heat to the
badge. Then gentle pull the badges off.
-
Some of the glue and foam
backing will remain on the
car. To remove this, take some WD-40, spray it on, and
let it set for 5-8 minutes.
-
Use a cloth and wipe away all the
glue (use more WD-40 if you want it wont hurt the paint). You can also use a product called
Goo Gone or Tar and Bug remover.
-
Wash off all the WD-40 and apply
a generous coat of wax to the entire area. Keep in mind that the WD-40
or other products will strip the wax from any affected areas.
