-
Remove the grills. They are held in by a single
small torx screw.
-
Thoroughly clean the grills using soap and water, and a
toothbrush if necessary.
-
Dip the grills in alcohol for a final cleaning, and
place them on the surface that you plan to paint them on. I placed
the grills on a cement floor, with half-inch wooden doweling lifting
them slightly off the floor, to keep them from sticking.
-
Apply several light coats of the paint of your choice to
the grills, using light, overlapping strokes. I painted the back
of the grills first, allowed them to dry for several hours, and then
flipped them over and painted the fronts.
-
After painting, allow the grills to dry overnight, and
then apply several thick coats of clear coat, allowing the grills to dry
until tacky between coats.
-
Reinstall the grills.
