2002 Kansas City Pre-Meet
Car show season
has come already. Earlier than some of us would like. But its here.
The Kansas City Pre-Meet was held April 19-21st. There was a catered
BBQ lunch that was enjoyed by all. The participants spent the day
visiting the local tuner shops and stereo shops. Also enjoyed by all
was the trip to the local track for bracket racing. Check out our pics
section to see all the great looking cars.

J-Car Bash 2001
The 2001 J-Body Bash has ended.
Many members of TFM were there, as well as a few hundred other j-body
lovers. GM put a lot of work into the bash this year, and we were all
very impressed with all the concept cars, the Ecotec multimedia
experience, and the plant tours. A big thanks goes out to Tim
Schilling and the rest of the bash committee that put together a great
bash for us. Thanks a lot guys, and girls. We hope to see you next
year! Pictures and video will be available right here on the site, or
you can order a bash C.D. from TFM President Scott Heflin. Just e-mail
him at sheflin@teamforwardmotion.com
and tell him you want a C.D. They are only 8 dollars. Well worth it
for all that you will get.

J-Car Bash Section

J-Body Club of Ontario Bash
The
3rd Annual JCO (J-Body Club of Ontario) Bash was a HUGE
success and was held June 2nd and 3rd at
Niagara Falls, ONT. To many people’s surprise, there was
enormous turnout, some estimated there to be over 100 cars and
around 150 people. The Cars present ranged from 1st
generation Cavalier hatchback to the 2001 model year Cavalier and
Sunfire. Initially, the weather forecast predicted it would rain
the entire day, but I guess you can call it a fluke that it
started raining just as the show was drawing to an end. Overall,
the success of this Bash ensures that the representation of J-body
cars across North America is on the rise and the JCO Committee who
organized the event and everyone who showed up can be thanked for
that. Some people were already talking about the caravan for the
International Bash down in Ohio this August. We’ll see you there
… "

Myrtle Beach Pre-Meet
The 2001 Myrtle Beach Pre-Meet was held May 11th thru the 13th.
There was a car show with awards, a trip to the Hard Rock Cafe, and
other activities. Many TFM members were in attendance, and the show
drew a few new applications to TFM. It really brought attention to
TFM. Good job everyone.

The 2001 Kansas City Pre-Meet was held April 27th thru -29th. A few

Sema International Auto Salon/Nopi Nationals WEST
The Sema/Nopi Nationals WEST took place on February 9th thru the
11th. Again, our own Dave Piasecki was there to photograph the event

2000 Indy Pre-Meet (Jan 1-2, 2000)

Warren, the small Indy pre-meet was held in Indianapolis, Indiana.
TFM attendees included Jim Warren, Mike Dugas, Scott Heflin, Brian
Wallace, Herman Sun and Ted Lynn. Attendees gathered for a small
'show & shine' (without the shine?), engaging in small-talk and
tire-smoking (Mike?).

1999 Lordstown/Girard J-Body Bash
(Aug 5-8, 1999)
Team Forward Motion was
established at the first annual J-Body Bash, held in Girard, Ohio in
August of 1999. Events included several 'show & shines',
including one held on GM's Lordstown Assembly Plant grounds. Not
only did attendees enjoy a plant tour with a free lunch, but also got to
view several GM Concept Vehicles, including the Sunfire Speedster,
Cavalier Technic, California Concept Sunfire (with rear bucket seats!),
the Z24 Sedan, and the 2000 model cars. Credit for these pictures
goes to Dustin Simmons.
